ODL Tubular Skylights are ideal for bringing natural light to small spaces. Each kit includes everything you need for a
complete installation, with no framing, drywalling, or painting required.
Your kit includes:
Patented Solar LensŪ Roof Dome Patented reflex optic technology gathers sunlight—even during low-light
hours in the morning, late afternoon, or winter—to maximize light into the tube. The UV-resistant acrylic skylight dome
won't yellow over time.
Adjustable Skylight Tubes Each kit includes components for a 48" installation, from top rim of flashing to ceiling.
Two jointed tubes adjust up to a 45° angle and let you work around obstacles. If more length is needed, 20" and 48" extension tubes are available.
Mirror Finish Tubes ODL's mirror finish skylight tubes optimize light reflected through the tubular shaft while
controlling solar heat gain.
Ceiling Trim Ring Designed for easy installation, the ceiling trim ring's pre-assembled seals eliminate installation
steps and ensure a weathertight fit, minimizing heat loss.
Dual Lens Diffuser The dual lens diffuser spreads soft, natural light throughout interior spaces.
Brighten up dark spaces, save energy, and increase natural light with ODL Tubular Skylights
ODL Tubular Skylights offer these features and benefits:
Light large spaces: A 10" Tubular Skylight can light up to 150 sq. ft. with output comparable to three 100-watt
bulbs, while a 14" Tubular Skylight can light up to 300 sq. ft. with output comparable to five 100-watt bulbs.
Leak-free operation when installed properly. Our metal and injection molded roof flashings are one-piece
and seamless to eliminate leaking.
Fits even the small spaces where larger skylights won't fit.
The patented reflective system redirects light (including low angle morning and evening light) down
the reflective tubing and into the room. Because the tube is 95% reflective, less light is absorbed and more light reaches
the room. With traditional skylights, light is passed through a drywall shaft and then into the home.
Protects rugs, furniture, and clothes from fading by absorbing 99% of UV rays.
The ODL Solar Powered Dimmer lets you control natural light via remote control. The dimmer requires no hard wiring and provides a solar-powered night
light. Use the patented, optional dimmer to dim or completely block light or glare in a bedroom, nursery, or media room.
All parts are covered by a Limited Lifetime warranty.
1. Decide how much light you'd like
Light output will vary by time of day, roof orientation and shaft length. Tubular Skylights are not recommended for heavily
shaded roofs. Use the guidelines below to determine the size and number of skylights for a given space.
Determine what type of flashing you need depending on what type of roof you have.

Determining roof pitch "Roof
pitch" is how far the roof drops vertically for every 12" of horizontal run.

3. Determine your length requirements
The standard kit length is 48". Extension tubes measuring 20" and 48" are available. The tubes have a highly reflective
mirror finish but the maximum amount of light decreases as the length increases.
Tip: determine if you need extension tubes prior to starting installation.

U-factor and SHGC explained The U-factor (sometimes called U-value) measures how much heat escapes the home; the
lower the number, the more heat is retained inside where it's needed. U-factor considerations are most important in colder
climates. The Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) measures how much solar radiation enters the home; the lower the number,
the more heat is blocked. SHGC considerations are most important in warmer climates.
Windows and doors with NFRC-certified U-factor and SHGC ratings that do not exceed 0.30 may qualify for the Economic Stimulus Energy Tax Credit.
